True Spirituality - Isaiah 58

God is not impressed by accurate theology from our lips if our lives are filled with sin and injustice. This chapter confronts our hypocrisy and calls us to true spirituality that seeks justice, shows compassion and expresses sincere devotion.

The Living Water

Let’s follow the five steps outlined here, responding to God’s call: 1) thirst – admit your need; 2) turn – forsake your sin; 3) seek – study God’s Word; 4) receive – commit to Jesus and; 5) rejoice – experience the overflowing grace of God!

The Suffering Servant

Nowhere in the Old Testament is the gospel as clear as it is in Isaiah 53. 700 years before Jesus was born the Lord showed Isaiah the kind of Savior the world needed – a suffering servant.
