What is faith? Is it like rubbing on Aladdin’s lamp, hoping that God will grant you three wishes? Or is it something entirely different?

Remember what it was like as a young child waiting for Christmas? You knew in your mind that the big day would eventually come, but the days leading up to it seemed to slow down to a crawl. How can you patiently wait for God to solve the challenges you face?

In his first desperate cry to God about the despicable circumstances in his nation, the prophet Habakkuk wondered why God wasn’t acting to fix the situation. But when he heard God’s response, he was even more confused.

“Chronic illness, relationship breakdown, loss of employment, political division and discouragement, another impending pandemic, climate change: ever feel like your world is spinning out of control? So did a prophet of God who lived over 2,500 years ago.
