The Servant King

God appointed and anointed Cyrus, calling him by name, equipping him for specific tasks and empowering him to success in them. We see God’s creative generosity all around us in people (both believers and non-believers) God appoints and anoints to serve and assist us.

Isaiah 43 gives us four reasons not to be afraid. 

The Incomparable God

The Lord is the everlasting God!” Come be reminded of God’s absolute uniqueness: the One who is sovereign in power, supreme in wisdom and all-surpassing in glory!

Servant of Justice

As God’s chosen and cherished children – as His servants – we must 1) love the hurting; 2) teach His Word and; 3) work for justice. Let’s not grow tired or discouraged – let’s simply keep serving the Lord!

Matthew 28 shows us three ways we can and should respond to the resurrection of Jesus: 1) be amazed; 2) be confident and; 3) be bold – Jesus really did rise from the dead!

Humility - Philippians 2:1-11

Humility is the 13th and final character perfection of our Lord Jesus. Though He literally deserved everything in terms of honor, love and service Jesus laid down all of His rights and served us to the ultimate degree.

Zeal - Matthew 10:1-13

Zeal is an abiding passion for God that moves us to live for His kingdom. Jesus was perfectly aligned, with his internal zeal fueling his ministry priorities.
